Gentlemen,

Allow me to revive and steer this convo towards the nitty gritty side of things.

From your strong recommendation of Odoo as stable solution for some commercial solutions I took it up and am impressed so far.

However, I have recently setup Odoo 9 (Community) POS for my retail outlet and I noticed something very peculiar when it is in live use. At times some sales via POS are not posted to the database hence not recorded and stock not adjusted.

The problem happens when the user momentarily shifted from the POS selling interface to check on other parts of the system eg orders/create a quotation or invoice. When they resume, the next sale picks the order number of the last sale and somehow Odoo flags this and does not post the sale or -ve stock adjustment. So far the work around am using is should a user require to check another part of the system then before they resume to the POS they have to log out and then log in again.

The server PC is where they are running the client instance on too on a browser. Intel Duo Core (3 GHz), 4 GB RAM

Have you encountered the same at some point? If yes how did you solve the underlying problem?

Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan
