Your idea of a Developer of the Year award is great, and I am willing to support the initiative. But for this to have some sort of credibility, I still think it is about time Skunkworks became an organized group rather than the amorphous group of techies based on the internet that it is. You will be surprised at how much capital we can suddenly have when we become organized, think of the Marketing Society of Kenya, Computer Society of Kenya and such group. We will be able to attract big ticket sponsors. I can imagine no one wants to fund a group without a physical address lest they be accused of money laundering.
@Philip, thnks much on the input and you have very valid points. What would be your suggested way forward? Lets works on it. :-)
