
I once worked briefly for a large oil company, the situation above described is the most common type of fuel theft in petrol stations. I have always wondered why they have never programmed the machines not to start from a number other than 0...... or to stop after 10 seconds if the fuel nozzle thingi is not being pressed. It can mostly be blamed on poor remuneration of pump attendants by the dealers. The only way of not being conned right now is to watch them when they are fueling.
