
3G trials still going on till end of year.. its not Telkoms fault [?] - its our CCK, they refused to let smaller players [who cannot afford lumpsum] pay the 25m USD in installments. Negotiations still going on. Meanwhile, there are some sites one can access this 3G ! * How did safcom pay for the 25m USD, counting the fact that Michael Josef sits on the board of CCK ?* A Theory: Government used to own 60% of Telkom, Vodafone 35%, Mobitelia 5% [mabbe more after the IPO] If they decided that they are going to pay USD 25m split in percentages of shareholding to CCK - which of the 3 groups of shareholders do you think paid ? I seriously dont think Government's 60% and Mobitelia's 5% paid - that leaves about 8m USD to be paid by Vodafone. w/regards SNN.
