Like Paul and a few others here who are employers a few tips

1. Make it easy for potential employers to hire you. Clear and clean resume with areas of interest should do that for you
2. Make it easy for them to see what stands out about you. Rachel is a risk taker and aggressive and her second email shows she is willing to learn. You can turn lemons into lemonade, who doesnt know her now?
3. Follow up people who show interest
4. Be willing to start anywhere that shows promise even if terms are not good. Enter the systems and make your way up.

My greatest frustration in hiring young people(and allow me to vent)
1. Lack of courtesy and professionalism
2. Wanting to make it too fast (instant dot com generation as older folks call it)and be a manager fresh out of campus.
3. Not willing to invest in learning and building their value but more interested in what they can take home
4. Most annoyingly - quit work without saying and move on to something else! (i dont understand this one!!!) and if something else doesnt work they have the guts to come back and expect you to take them in.

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.As we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
