The app works on both WP 8 and WP 8.1. You also need to be connected to the Safaricom Network for it to work. For some reasons some safaricom numbers don't work but that is an issue of Safaricom servers.

Also the Flip Tile may not update if the battery charge is low to conserve charge That is a WP feature. Also check network speed.
