
I think the most important factor is the tv signal strength and the type of aerial you have. I could 'lend' you my PCI-E card you try it out before you buy yours. I have never used those USB tv boxes before so i really dont know how good they are. On the VCD, you might want to check if there is an autorun.inf file on the disc. Yes, those ones:-) How do I get them to play as soon as the media is loaded/mounted (on Windows XP)? Something akin to Autoplay...
