I heard from some doubtful sources the reason bank cashiers don't put on blazers while at work, is to prevent them from pocketing unsuspecting customer's cash. Concerning supermarkets making sweets legal tender, it is based on willing seller, willing buyer agreement, though an illegal undertaking!
