I hope they don’t wake up one day and cry the that the software to manage this data is not working. Remember Kidero’s cameras? 400 M shillings then we are told they don’t work cause of missing software! Only in Kenya.
But what’s the point? If they mark my face committing a crime, where are they going to hunt for me? Do they keep bio data digitally?
Best Regards,

All what has been done has not been commissioned and accepted u will see improvements as they go one. Saf is known to have standards in all its installations. Let's wait and see

Jeremiah,
I personally feel the logical implementation of this project does not make sense.
Why?
Yes the systems work and are recording a lot of data.Big data will analyse patterns and everything analytics does(from this year onwards). Then what?
Nothing to cross reference and match with!!.(simply you have a bunch of faces that commit a crime then you take 3 to 4 months going through registration files at the ministry of interior(national registry) looking for the name and details attached to that face......this guys are basically stuck in active.
I think Ministry of interior should up their game -have a repository of (face, phone number,DNA,Finger prints)
1.Everybody with a phone number has a face---Use safaricom and get the face during registration.
2.Get all this data during 18+ registration
3.Get the updated details during the year of census.
Plus proper legal framework for that data -last time i checked cctv data is not admissible in kenyan courts.
Only then can we make sense of this!!
On another note,The Berlin wall was built in 1961,Great wall of China B.C---We are seriously building a wall in 2015.
NB:I am not negative,just realistic.
Regards,
David.

What's the point of having cameras that can easily be vandalized the cables connecting to the equipment are so exposed and easily reachable .
