Does anybody know of high quality server vendors with pricing that is competitive with these guys and still high quality? http://www.siliconmechanics.com/c1246/rack-server-products.php For a $5k server, shipping costs about $700 from the US plus about $125 for import declaration fee (IDF) and apparently no VAT? I've been told that vendors in Malaysia, Taiwan and China are good but I don't know of any. Local resellers seem to focus on HP or IBM (or Dell, which I don't like) and are very expensive.
