This is very possible, the basic requirements are quite simple;

- a CCTV camera or cameras(depending on coverage) that are capable of streaming the video over an IP link.
- a reliable IP connection can be on Wi-fi or over point-to-point microwave etc.
- You will also require software installed on the PC at the house to view, record and archive the stream. Most of the IP based CCTV cameras also support viewing directly from a browser.
