The Press misquoted the guy. What he meant was that majority of the websites in Kenya are based on open source hence there is a lot of knowledgeable people on the same Open source (LAMP) technologies i.e. both developers and hackers.
He also said that those technologies need to be kept updated (security patching) therefore if they are not patched then they are easily hacked into.
In so many words, that was his message but as usual the Press "mutulad" his message.
That's ignorance by the writer. The guardian uses Joomla, Mashable is Wordpress, Techweez too. Heck, even the PM's site is Joomla. Safaricom store is Joomla.
