Thomas, Logo was done by David and the client happy? So let the client call David to his office, pay up, and ask David to unlock the logo before he leaves that office. he should be knowing that is the reason he's being called! That should resolve the case amicably.
After that, the logo becomes property of the owner and he can do whatever s/he wishes.
