The question has been carefully evaded

Actually, anything (not just keyloggers) can be used maliciously.

I might use it to:
- monitor what my kids are doing on the net (we don't want them
chatting with pedophiles)
- monitor staff activities
- investigate fraud
- monitor my spouse's extracurricular activities (mpango wa kando)

On the other hand, we can also use them maliciously to:

- steal passwords
- steal credit card infomation.

Therefore a keylogger is a two edged sword.

Timo.
