and im doing rackspace coud, three servers, 512, 512 and 1024. all relatively stable and with little trouble.
This has been my experience so far on linode:
I have been hosting about 5 medium traffic apache/php /mysql apps for over 3 years now plus a couple of low traffic html websites as well as hosting three .NETv3.5 web apps( using Mono) on the same platform. I also have some GIT repos(replacing SVN repos) as well as syncing my dropbox to the box. in between have manged to host redmine(ruby on rails) , and SVN.
In terms of bandwith, have rarely exceeded 60% of the quota, but have lots of read/write operations on the server from background daemons. Naturally, I offload a lot of my traffic to CDN's and free/relatively cheap cache servers.
I am on the standard linode1024 plan running debian 6.0On Thu, Feb 28, 2013 at 2:29 PM, george <theonlydamnedavailablename@gmail.com> wrote:

_______________________________________________Hi guys,I am looking for a reliable VPS host - i.e. Virtual Server host. Please recommend any that you have used that is reliable and cost effective for a basic application, meaning its not space/memory/bandwidth intensive. The entry level service will do just fine.I have already checked out Safaricom locally would but would like to check out other options. Thanks,George
