Okay, folks. There must be a reason why so many have voted Ubuntu though I wonder where OpenSuse stands in all this. A few years back, Ubuntu CDs were everywhere, you could even order via e-mail and get them sent to you free of charge, yet one of my Linux heros (Sammy Lusiola) could not be dissuaded from using OpenSuse. My other Linux hero (Steve Muchai) was not the helpful guy, at least not where Linux advocacy was involved, coz he lived in the CLI. From that time, I haven't given Linux a serious thought/consideration. That was 2007, IIRC. A lot has changed now and everyone is singing Ubuntu, but now it looks like Ubuntu has really evolved, much like Windows, where we have Ubuntu variants.
Now, Collins, I am the techie type, but I still don't know which Ubuntu I should go for. Can I get all those*buntu wrapped into one, much like Windows 7 Ultimate?? Which one is the Ubuntu Ultimate?
I will go Ubuntu Ultimate, or wait for Windows 10.
