Interesting article......and quite true..... one of the small systems i wrote in 2004/5 ( www.smsanyone.com ) has been due for a complete re-write....but i just wont do it.....so really i believe in re-using and improving....the only difference is....I did not write OrangeHRM....so for me and the other people that will be part of this...........we are not re-writing.... Also, OrangeHRM doesnt in the first place solve our fundamental issue.....Payroll......... So the question is....do we turn a Bicycle into a Motor Cycle or just make a Motor Cycle in the first place. Steve, not that I mind creating stuff from scratch, but i belong to the school of programming where the mantra "don't reinvent the wheel" is a bit strong, which leads to lazy developers who piggy-back on the efforts of others.
