Lots of lone rangers I agree, but as the industry matures and there is more money in our budgets, lots of collaborative work will be born either from the hubs,labs or RD teams. Right now most of the money is with suited-business men. The more tech-prenuers experience some windfall, the more we will see a lot of nifty crafting and contributions to the open source. I guess most of us still code for bread and the landlord.
