Dear SkunkersAm setting up an office LAN and I want it to be purely Wireless but the problem is that am able to achieve this in all the network resources apart from the printers. Am using Hp Laserjet P3015 printers which are not wireless. Anyone with an Idea of how I can have the printers shared wirelessly? You assistance will be highly appreciated.
There are two ways:
From the specs , it says that this printer has optional components
Optional connectivity: HP Jetdirect EIO internal print servers; HP Jetdirect external print servers; HP 802.11b/g wireless print servers; HP EIO Parallel Port Adaptor
You can get the HP Jetdirect EIO internal print server (I believe this gives the printer an ethernet capability) and connect the printer to an ethernet port on your AP, or better still, get HP 802.11b/g wireless print server which makes your printer join your AP via WiFi. All you have to do is to assign a static IP to the printer, then connect to it via TCP/IP.
