Are guys already watching movies on Blu-ray disks locally already - as in they are already being sold locally? At how much? Then again, me thinks keeping all those discs cause so much clutter/use space.
I'd rather convert into mkv/mp4 formats and store in HDD. Is that madness?
Indeed @wash The other day i sat in the study and wanted to do some clean-up. I realized i have audio CD/OS/Server configs (asterisks/email/http/routers)/photos/movies/ dating back to 2004 when i fist started pinging.
Alas! 75 % (over 300 disks) of any of those i couldn't use any more like redhat 9, fedora 3, windows me/win98/ubuntu 6/7/ etc. The i said, let me see what and what can open - about 75% of those disks were unusable - scratches, dirt, h/w incompatibility and the like. The question still lingers, does one really need cd/dvd/blue-ray(*maybe this is diffrent, dont even knw how it looks like) *in the modern age? Of what i could save/like i converted to my 1TB HDD which didn't even litter my house :) Kind Regards, Wilson./
