I got this quote from one of the blogs above. "Makmende is this week’s biggest trending topic on Twitter in Kenya." Highly doubt it. Speaking from a professional point of view really. i've been tracking twitter trends for a while practically. The authors have probably been trying to over hype the entire thing and it is very difficult to determine whether such statements above are true. Currently twitter usage in Kenya is still low (people who actually tweet sensibly --- not spam). I had elaborated earlier on a few issues in an earlier post...so theres no need to repeat. What i'm simply saying is that the people here are professionals and such statements really sound rediculous and more of an attempt to create hype everywhere. (probably made posts in most of the local sites blah blah blah)
