Thanks for the insight, Were you using the same bandwidth packages ie 256kbps on the fixed data or were you on a higher package? And then again why is it that the local loops eg. local pings return far much better response,78-80ms -+ than the pings to like yahoo or google which are 3000-4000ms +.
I suspect you link may be contented (shared) to some ratio; usually 1:8 or 1:10 or 1:20. Depending on the usage of the other users (contentees) on the link, speeds can tend to jump up and down from time to time. If it is not a contented link, then you need to have a chat with Safaricom.
