like most certifications, if doing it purely because of its marketability and money. Don't do it.On the other hand PMP is highly marketable especially if you have another complimenting discipline eg a doctor with PMP, or a technical guy with PMP, mostly its experiences with project management that count.

I think I know about 20 people currently working on the PMP . maybe form a study group?
