Sometime ago someone said according to their research, there are 2000 software developers in Kenya. He also said 10% of them really know what they are doing. Would not have taken him seriously if he did not say that those who know what they are doing are also world class developers - from the Linux kernel and Java stuff he has seen some of them do.
Over the past 2 years, it has dawned on me he also meant that only 10%
of our software developers collaborate or connect (whether online or in person) to help each other out. This coming from a fellow who comes
from the side of the world that has produced the software developers /
architects who birthed Linux, Delphi and C# should be taken very seriously.
What he has unable to find himself was a hard core (c#) Windows programmer. C# sw devs are going to be very very hot locally in the near future!
