But a friend told me Nairobians will never share their cars, not even with their neighbours (even if it benefits the car owner as well). The reasons were many, but chief among them was the "dilution of status".
I agree with the "dilution of status" theory -- also perhaps a reason why motorcycle usage is very low as a means for personal transport.
