Saich, well almost everyone knew that rates via Seacom providers will be heading downwards, especially those who bought STM capacities. Teams is another matter all together. If you research the players in teams, they are the ones who have been saying that costs will not be coming down initially. I avoid to comment any more on the fiber issues, they are a waste of time. I can tell you that even those in teams who will now be rushing to get Seacom , due to public demands for better internet access, will only improve the 550ms latencies and real broadband will happen in the near future.
If you looked further, Seacom has already connected some Public Universities in SA while our Uni's are most likely awaiting the " initial costs will not go down ".................. :-)
