
Hi Nicholas.You dont need to go to a college to learn about gaming software.You need to define the role you want to achieve in gaming.Roles include game design,game programming,animation,sound engineer.If you have good internet bandwidth and are good in C# programming you can use Unity 3D game engine for game programming.It is free and easy to use,you can create 2d and 3d games and port to all platforms.For animation you could use adobe suite,Blender software,The internet has all the resources you need.
