Maybe I was not too clear on my response.

As long as it ends with *droid?

This meant that I find Android the most developer friendly platform and an IDEOS is a good start. I have never done any serious Mobile app development so I may not be the most qualified to comment on such matters though.

For a programmer , what do you feel comfortable using ?

I feel most comfortable with a normal laptop and desktop. Machines are very affordable nowadays so with a low price you can get a P.C with good specs (RAM / hard-disk space / processors speeds / screen size, etc).

I prefer Android-based smart-phones mostly, like the HTC Chacha. I don't own a tablet or netbook even though I might go for an Amazon kindle some time.

On the other hand, the HTC Chacha is actually a good bargain for its
price [ http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_chacha-3787.php ]
