Simple problem really. KRA can arrest you if you fail to comply. If you don't file tax returns 'because the site was down', they fine you. So the site is there to make their lives slightly easier (fewer people in Times Towers), but not really because they are concerned about user experience.Taxation happens because the state has a monopoly on violence, we can't boycott government, we can't not pay our taxes.
