The title should be 'Intrusion of Wananchi's  Privacy', not 'Big Data' as it has been wrongly labelled!  But then again, privacy is nothing in Kenya and someone who has nothing to hide shouldn't worry at all. Yes?

Sarcasm aside, how will the collected data be managed? Which laws govern that? How will misuse of this data be mitigated against?  What is to stop the Government from monitoring and 'silencing' someone who they consider a threat or discomfort  to the powers that be?

This kind of thing is a double-edged sword and the proper framework should be set up before they start collecting personal  data. In our endeavors to create a secure state let us not make bigger mistakes.
