@Aki...I wonder why you presume my question was directed to you! Or Perhaps for this post you've assumed the role of an answer machine. Maybe we should come up with a symbol for rhetorical questions other than the question mark.
I do apologise for my comment as it was not necessary on my part. On another topic, may I interest you to do a Content Thread for September? Pls check out the " Let talk about adding adding more skunksworks content " postings.
My opinion on this post...just another skunktalk, little will come of it. And why are people so eager to change skunksworks anyway?
My thots in a nutshell: We have been facing content issues and if we do not correct the problem soon, we face extinction in due course. Eventually the list may become a classifieds. Many listers will become members elsewhere or go solo on the net. There is brain drain which is affecting us in many ways. The other issue is we are limiting our audience to just this mailing list. And given the like or dislikes of topics etc the content will get even more messy. As I wrote earlier, there is much talent on this list beyond techies and Skunksworks could become a key portal in the region with the kind of content we do here, which to many of us is just another day. That itself a big bonus for representing KE on the net. Even better would be to start getting a wider, younger audience that can come on board and light up the list with their fresh minds. Who knows, we could inspire them or they could inspire us. Web masters on this list can let us know how skunks traffic can end up to schools, tech colleges and even Universities. There is much scope over time and better for maintaining continuity for Skunkworks KE. There are other advantages that have been listed in this thread, pls check them out.
Rgds.
