@Okechukwu In my opinion gps systems are not going anywhere until the phones can find a way to get location data via satellite (or rather without requring a network connection), and secondly not obliterate your battery when used for navigation. Then would I agree that Garmin and the rest should be afraid. 

Try using your phone to navigate from Maralal to Turkana, you soon realize your 100k iphone is a paper weight.
