I concur with Tito; as an aspiring domain owner, I see no value in spending KShs. 2320 for a .co.ke. Who knows what might happen when KENIC hands over management of .ke namespace to CCK.

However, a business entity would probably have a different perspective, they might want to use the .co.ke to brand themselves as Kenyan.

In my opinion, the numbers show that since we have fewer domains, we pay more. However, the point that many people are trying is that by keeping the cost high - the price-sensitive market is discouraged from taking a co.ke and will opt for the .com. This ultimately slows down the uptake of .co.ke.

Thinking of it as an aspiring domain owner - does owning a .co.ke add more value than owning a .com to justify the premium (x5) that i will be paying for?

Come to think of it - what value does a .co.ke add over a .com to justify x5 - x10 premium?

Tito.

Again - 37 million vs. 10,000 reasons. Does this make sense?
