Some one predicted the death of Skunk works ? Is this the beginning ? Some of us are made aware of events through skunkworks [not hostile] but general public information. And that is why people label the disclaimer "Off Topic" - which invites you to ignore or read on.. And depending on your mood at work, an "Off Topic" can take matters off mind on a heavy day.. I thought true 'geekdom' is born, and it can also be grown... Topics like : IT, ICT, sci-fi, mechanics, business ->job adverts [friends have been made aware of jobs/ opportunities thru this list and thats why they can afford internet to contribute] -business and investment [ the other day we warned members about investing in companies going down like Old Mutual] - you could be affected directly or indirectly... -travel and sports - [i saw a post about the rugby team or 'team posers' being denied access to dubai] - i think in ur travels as a business man or IT person, it wud be good to know some things - and that's by readin other's contributions -I guess we come from different fields, where each feels at home at Skunkworks - some of us are at liberty to discuss our jobs, some are not - but non the less - we read and contribute to the posts when we have some information or knowledge on the matter... Take for example - the other day guys were discussin 'Thermostats' and later 'Tyres Inflation' - is this tech or not ? Its not IT, but its technical... Sci-fi topics - I like this - why ? They are based on facts or theories of science - its because of movies like '24' that we have maps on our phones, because it made someone think.. Star Trek, Minorit report etc: most of that technology is now within reach because it triggered someone's imagination.... My 15 cents...
