For Safaricom, the "account" credentials (username/password) are of no consequence if left blank. However, some devices might insist in having some detail entered. The proxy settings are not as important as they were pre-WAP2.0 and can be left out as well. MMS still requires proxy settings though. ./bernard On Mon, Apr 8, 2013 at 12:50 PM, Erik Hersman <erik@zungu.com> wrote:
Hey Everyone,
I'm looking to find up-to-date *APN data/internet settings* for the mobile operators in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. If any of you have them, mind replying with them?
*Kenya* Safaricom Airtel Orange Yu
*Tanzania* Vodacom Airtel Tigo Zantel
*Uganda* MTN Airtel Warid Orange UG Essar
As an example, for *Safaricom* I have:
APN: safaricom Username: saf Password: data
For Vodacom TZ:
APN: WAP Username: Voda Password: 1234
Another question, is how important it is to have the fields for "account name", "proxy" and "IP Address" as part of what needs to be filled in for each operator?
Thanks,
Erik Hersman
