Hi This one goes to the Microsofties. Wanted to upgrade a computer with windows 7 starter to another edition for somebody. Went online and discovered I can't get an upgrade key in Kenya and my attempts to trick the system didn't work. Now I find this strange from MS as it's so wasy to update Linux from anywhere and for free for that matter. the essence of the internet is that it's international, times have changed!
So now over to the Microsofties. How can the said upgrade be done from here? any work around?
@Gituma, First, please note that I am not a Microsoftie like Mickey Mickey:-) You seem to mixup issues here. 1. RTFM about Windows upgrade. I believe you need an upgrade key, but from experience, even a volume license key will do. 2. Does Linux also have 'Starter', 'Home Premium', 'Business', 'Professional', 'Ultimate' or the GUIs made you confused? -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I can't hear you -- I'm using the scrambler.
