Orange have just introduced a new tariff, 4 shillings on-network (to Telkom Fixed, Telkom Wireless and Orange Mobile) and 8 shillings to any other network. Yu has a flat rate of 7.50 to all other networks. Zain increased their extranetwork charges to 12 shillings. Now, Safaricom can afford to be arrogant because, if you are on Safaricom you are calling 80% on network, hence saving. The other operators have to keep call rates low to other networks. Somehow, Zain pioneered this model and is really taking a beating because of the same... Anyway, it keeps getting interesting.
