Good skunkers, I came across this site which creates mobile versions of 'normal' websites in a rather painless way, http://mobify.me/, and its free. I haven't tried converting a website but sitepoint <http://www.sitepoint.com/> did and the outcome, http://m.sitepoint.com/, is pretty nice on a phone. I would be nice if some of the local news websites had mobile versions.
