Android devices do not have viruses. What is close to a virus is an app that you install that does stuff that you are not aware of, and can't be passed to another device. 

Many viruses are software bugs or bad memory cards that people buy (some were meant to be discarded for not meeting quality, but Africa will buy them and no one will ask questions). So check if it is not your SD card at fault, or your phone - you can factory reset it, or reflash it if not locked.
