Had a similar problem. All networks, including YU had horrible reception. (On the upside, I got to bond with my neighbours during the calls - you had to step out to make a call)
A lady claiming to have good knowledge of the landlord claimed that all houses belonging to this particular landlord don't "catch" network.
And that the said landlord hails from a certain part of Kenya.
I moved.
