Hi, My client is looking for a Linux Expert/Firm with Linux expertise to provide support to their staff who work with workstations. The scope of work will include: 1. Desktop support for desktops and laptops running Linux OS 2. Preventive maintenance of desktops, laptops and other peripheral devices. 3. Installation and configuration of drivers and/or other components as per client needs Qualifications The ideal person/firm should be able to demonstrate their expertise in working in the Linux environment including from the shell. They should also have good communication skills and an understanding of best practices when it comes to preventive maintenance and servicing of computer equipment. This is a part time role and the client will require the consultant to be on call to attend to any support issues within a 24 hour window for normal calls and 6 hour window for critical emergency call.
