So how do I confirm the same on Linux CLI ie disk failure, raid etc.
There are several log files on Linux/Unix systems. /var/log/messages comes to mind first.
Also where do I find reboot/shutdown log.
There is a 'last' command which may be helpful. Perhaps there is also /var/run/dmesg.boot on Linux?
