Good day.

From what i know:

Safaricom currently is only offering IAAS, they are still haggling with vendor licenses for SAAS and PAAS.

I believe that these issues will be sorted soon so that we can enjoy the full cloud offerings.

For IAAS, they provision Hardware specs and present the VM for you to install the O/S,App of your choice.

I think they have all the hypervisors in their Datacenters (I would, not trusting a single vendor, negotiation purposes etc)

Please correct me on this, if i am wrong.

read up on cisco vmware and emc (VCE) that should give you an idea. Unfortunately for actual implementation you need to sit down with a technicla person from there. For your own sanity dont talk to sales guys about deep technical stuff. Just ask to be referred to someone.
