I used to be subscribed to a list called Kazi Afrika related to BA by virtue of having being conceived by the same mind. I found the subscribers of the list to be too immature that I unsubscribed. They would discuss politics, personalities, complain about bank workers being rude and other trivial stuff, all in a forum established to help guys get jobs. I was still subscribed to skunkworks at the time, but I have never quit skunking [not the herb]. Reason is, skunks are relatively reasonable people by far. So to find them insulting, you must be thinking in hex [It has the Fs, you know :D]. I think we all think in binary, no?

Perhaps first experiences with a public tech mailing list? You have to
admit that tech mailing lists are particularly hostile, whether
justifiably so is another issue altogether. They take some getting
used to...
