I think as you all write and chat about it, the guys on the link above have squarely nailed it (for me), they are working it, some sites are live with it (www.umba.co.ke) - and for all intents and purpose, it works.
I see they make heavy use of joomla/virtuemat but they give you an API which I imagine most guys here wouldn't have an issue with. their site doesnt say how much they charge per transaction but I get the feeling we're finally headed in the right direction.
I have been wondering how to process local payments without having to develop/pay to develop a similar gateway, I had to think about it again this morning and we're definately going to give them a try if:
- they have an active development team and an office to speak of. - they listen to my complains/ideas - I have a long list of requirements:-)
