Actually, there is a lot of activity around that area. Oracle, IBM and SAP of course are the leaders. There are other vendors like NLS<http://www.nlske.com/index.php>(which I presume is local, from their client base. I could be wrong). You can say that currently it's only the big players - banks, insurance firms, MSPs, etc that seem to invest in BI. This means that they are likely to also opt for big BI players. Therefore, your best chance would be to work within these players to initially get your footing in the market. As for salaries, the rates are usually very good. Those fields are green, but I know some few firms that are trying to establish footing in those area.
