Dear friends,

Today I received the following SMS from $afaricon:

"Browse at Ksh2/- per minute and enjoy FREE high speed 3G internet on
Wednesday 25/5/2011 from 11pm to 11am. Dial *142# to activate,
applicable only on PrePay"

This message read like digital manna from heaven.

I had an active line on PrePay and so that was already covered. All I
had to do was do the *142# thingy so as to activate the service. I
immediately received a confirmation message that I was now on the 2/-
browsing service.

I then made a list of all the "stuff" that I was going to download
overnight so that I can have them by morning.

I eagerly waited until 11.35pm (25-5-2011) and connected to the net.

After surfing to a round 8 minutes, I got disconnected...what the *$%@
is going on? I asked myself...

I checked my balance to see if my Ksh.16 was still there...lo and
behold...it was all gone!!!

I thought FREE means FREE...

I am emotionally wounded and severely distressed:-(

I am now going to bed...

Safaricom stole my Ksh.16...should I sue?

Timo.
