The beauty about Apple is that they sell iPhones as they manufacture them. They hardly ever have stock in store. Other manufactures measure unites shipped as sold, while Apple measures unit actually sold to consumers and paid for.

i think the 9 million number is large and disapproves those who claimed the end of Apple was near. I think they have outperformed the Samsung galaxy S4 launch weekend numbers.

Apple did not split the sales between 5C and 5S, but reports indicate the 5S could be outselling the 5C by a much a 3 to 4 times. Which bring me to my last point; the Apple consumer is actually interested in price but the quality of the product.
