You should try orange 3G+. This is a CDMA service that uses EVDO technology. The speeds are quite good (3MBPs comparable to GSM 3G). Modem goes for 2K and they have some affordable bundles and better still, you can get 1 week unlimited for 1 K. My 50Cents.
