what do you guys think of KPLC? is it playing an appropriate role in availing cheap and reliable electricity to Kenya?
One of my issues with Kenya Power is how they relate to their customers. In some areas if you miss payment by even one day they cut your power (even if the previous 2 years you have always paid in full on time). To get power reconnected they then require you increase your deposit. Sometime up to even KSH 8,000. Being that draconian on payment issues is all good if you match it with your level of service. But with constant power cuts accompanied with constant pleas to "be patient" I wish KPLC would follow their own advice and give people a grace period of say a 2 weeks/month to get payments in.
